Stop GEAS - Protestcamp

Am 10.04.2024 wird die Reform des Gemeinsamen Europäischen Asylsystems (GEAS) durch das EU-Parlament und den Rat der EU beschlossen. Dies ist der letzte Schritt hin zum endgültigen Beschluss des Reformpakets, das eine drakonische Verschärfung der europäischen Asylpolitik und eine fatale Einschränkung der Menschenrechte Schutzsuchender bedeutet.

Gegen diese Politik der Entrechtung, Abschottung und Ausgrenzung wollen wir am 06.04.2024 in Bonn laut und präsent sein.
Wir werden von 10-20 Uhr ein Protestcamp auf dem Remigiusplatz in Bonn errichten. Über den ganzen Tag hinweg machen wir mit verschiedenen Beiträgen deutlich, was diese Reform für Menschen auf der Flucht, für die EU und für solidarische Strukturen bedeutet.
Zugleich wollen wir in unserem Protestcafé ins Gespräch darüber kommen, wie Solidarität in Zeiten des Rechtsrucks aussehen kann und wie wir uns weiter für ein offenes, solidarisches Europa und Bonn einsetzen können.

Kommt vorbei und setzt mit uns ein Zeichen gegen die Entrechtung von Menschen an den europäischen Außengrenzen!

On 10 April 2024, the reform of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS) will be adopted by the EU Parliament and the Council of the EU. This is the last step towards the final adoption of the reform package, which represents a draconian tightening of European asylum policy and a fatal restriction of the human rights of people seeking protection.

We want to be loud and present against this policy of disenfranchisement, isolation and exclusion in Bonn on 6 April 2024.
We will set up a protest camp on Remigiusplatz in Bonn from 10 am to 8 pm. Throughout the day, we will make clear with various contributions what this reform means for people on the run, for the EU and for structures of solidarity.
At the same time, we want to use our protest café to discuss what solidarity can look like in times of a shift to the right and how we can continue to campaign for an open, united Europe and Bonn.
