Am 27. September findet in Hamburg wieder der Run For Rescue statt.

Run For Rescue Hamburg 2026
On September 27, the Run For Rescue will take place in Hamburg once again. With this run, we want to take action together and support organisations that stand in solidarity with people on the move – from civilian search and rescue at sea to humanitarian support on land, particularly for women on the move.
No One Lets People Drown – Period!
More than 1,600 people have already lost their lives since the beginning of this year while attempting to cross the Mediterranean to Europe. Thousands have been illegally intercepted and forcibly returned to Libya by Libyan militias – with financial and logistical support from the EU – and brought back to Libyan torture camps. At Europe’s external land borders, too, people on the move continue to be systematically deprived of their rights and criminalised. The Geneva Refugee Convention and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights effectively exist only on paper.
This is why people on their routes to Europe continue to depend on solidarity and support – whether through civilian search and rescue at sea or through initiatives and organisations working on land. With the proceeds from the charity run, we want to show our solidarity by supporting this work.
At the Run For Rescue, we want to take action together and support organisations that protect and accompany people on the move – from civilian search and rescue at sea to humanitarian support for women on the move.
Running for Solidarity
There is a marked 3-kilometre route through Planten un Blomen. The route is accessible and can be run, walked or completed using a wheelchair or other mobility aid. Whether you do one lap or several, and whether you go fast or take it at a leisurely pace, is entirely up to you.
Whether you come alone or with your dog, as a group of friends, an association, a political group or a school class: taking part in the Run For Rescue is about showing solidarity with people on the move and supporting the organisations that accompany and assist them.
There are also different ways to donate: you can make a donation yourself or find sponsors among your friends, family, colleagues or other people in your community who will support your participation or the kilometres you complete with a donation. You can donate here. You can find a sponsorship form here.
This year, donations will go to RESQSHIP, Solidarity & Resistance, SOS MEDITERRANEE, Sea-Watch and ROSA.
In addition to the running route, there will be information, drinks and music on site. The Run For Rescue is an opportunity to learn more, talk to one another and take action together.
Location: Planten un Blomen, Marseiller Promenade
Date: September 27, 12–4 pm
Route: 3 km, accessible. You decide how many times you complete the route and at what pace.
We look forward to seeing you.
For the right to leave & to stay!
