Creative workshop: No! to the payment card

Since July 2024, many refugees have been affected by the discriminatory payment card. This is associated with massive restrictions: a maximum of €50.00 in cash per month, bank transfers only on request, payments only in your own district.

In practice, this means for those affected: massive cuts to their self-determination, social participation and freedom of movement.

After almost two years of harassment, discrimination and control, there is hardly any talk of the payment card in public. Many do not know about it, others follow the racist rhetoric of the federal government.

We want to change that: In a creative workshop, we design demo signs, stickers, postcards and other protest material - and thus bring the payment card back into the public sphere.

We will focus on the experiences of those affected. By designing together, we want to create a place where everyone can learn, be active and be welcome!
