Film and discussion: Save our souls

On the occasion of the Intercultural Week 2025 on September 26, 2025, we cordially invite you to the screening of the impressive documentary film Save our Souls by Jean-Baptiste Bonnet.

Following the film, there will be a discussion round in which Seebrücke Kiel will also contribute with its inputs and perspectives.

The event will focus on civil society sea rescue in the Mediterranean, a topic that concerns us all and invites us to take a closer look. Why are people forced to take life-threatening routes across the sea? Why is civil sea rescue in Europe increasingly hindered, and what does this mean for human rights at sea? The documentary Save Our Souls provides an impressive insight into this reality.

The event is organized by the project Schleswig-Holstein Ahoy! at the Schleswig-Holstein Refugee Council in cooperation with Seebrücke Kiel.
