The film shows his journey, characterized by constant insecurity, precarious living conditions and the constant pressure of having to assert himself in a restrictive system. It shows how much his everyday life is determined by institutional hurdles and social exclusion. The personal story also opens up a view of larger contexts: How does European migration policy shape the realities of refugees' lives? What role do isolation, bureaucracy and political decisions play in the everyday lives of people in search of protection and prospects?
