Organized the by the local group

The event will provide an insight into the work of civilian sea rescuers, current developments in the field of sea rescue and efforts to preserve the dignity of the people rescued. Another topic will be what happens next for those rescued in Europe. After all, the journey does not end with the rescue. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and find out about options for action. The event is aimed at anyone who would like to find out more about the topic.

️Barriers: The room is unfortunately not barrier-free. There are a few steps in front of the entrance and the toilet is also not barrier-free.

️The event is part of the intercultural week of the Diakonie Heidelberg and our campaign "Mensch lässt Mensch nicht ertrinken! Your donation helps!". With this campaign, we want to raise awareness of the issue of sea rescue and motivate people to support the sea rescue organizationSea-Eye with a monthly donation. Thousands of people are still drowning in the Mediterranean every year. Europe lets them drown in order to deter other potential refugees. Civilian sea rescue organizations such as Sea-Eye defy this deadly isolationist policy. Their life-saving work is financed by donations - your donation helps.
