Film & Talk: On the Border

To mark the cinema release, we are showing the documentary "On the Border" about Europe's borders in the Sahara and their impact on Agadez in Niger. After a short introduction to the topic, we will show the film in the original language with German subtitles. There will be an opportunity for discussion after the movie.

"A thousand kilometers from the Mediterranean, the desert city of Agadez is becoming an outpost of European migration policy. The nomadic Tuareg have been transporting people across the desert here for centuries - until new laws declare them to be smugglers.
