ROYA, which premiered at this year's Berlinale, tells the story of an imprisoned teacher who is faced with the decision between a forced confession and further resistance - but what remains when isolation begins to shift one's own reality?

In view of the current situation in Iran, this premiere is not a loud moment for us, but a space for attention, exchange and looking together.

The screening will be followed by a film discussion with director Mahnaz Mohammadi and producer Farzad Pak as well as contributions from our cooperation partners, including Seebrücke Berlin, Terre des Femmes, the International League for Human Rights and Amnesty International Berlin.
