Movie: Das Kongo Tribunal

We cordially invite you to the film screening followed by a discussion! We are showing the documentary of the political theater Das Kongo Tribunal by Milo Rau (2017), which sheds light on the various conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo surrounding the extraction of raw materials.

The film is based on extensive research, witness interviews and reports and shows the systematic human rights violations as well as the explosive political and economic background to the conflict. The tribunal demanded justice from local leaders as well as from multinational corporations, governments and international organizations.

Together with Simone Schlindwein, we want to shed light on the causes and consequences of this crisis and invite a critical debate. Simone Schlindwein is a journalist and author and regularly reports on the political and humanitarian situation in the DRC. She was present at the tribunal in Congo.
