The Anarchist Collective Aachen is calling for a major demonstration in Aachen on January 18, 2026.

Exactly one year earlier, on January 18, 2025, around 150 neo-Nazis, some of them very young, marched through our city. Ferhat Sentürk, ex-AfD member and current member of the Würselen Integration Council, had called the demonstration. The Queerreferat Aachen had planned the WTF - die Tunten-Show on this day. With their march, the nationwide growing scene tried to gain a foothold in Aachen and threaten our queer friends. In this city, where - at least in the center - the AfD election results remain consistently below 10% and where, since the quasi-dissolution of Syndikat 52, no public neo-Nazi group exists anymore, the attempt of the neo-Nazis failed miserably. Now, one year later, we would like to build on this moment of strength. On 18.01.2026, we don't just want to remember the past Nazi march so as not to make it a bigger issue than it deserves to be. No, above all we want to send a strong and unmistakable signal against the advance of fascism and continue to make it clear that wherever it takes hold, it will be met with resistance. This day a year ago showed how important cross-group alliances are against the blossoming fascism. Different people mean different means, different methods and different strategic approaches, with which we are strong together. For example, a number of individuals and groups had already tried to prevent the Nazi march in advance by signing a petition with almost 50,000 signatures, or at least to obstruct it using the possibilities offered by local politics. This shows that We are and will remain all anti-fascists!!! A determined anti-fascist movement remains necessary! And in addition to courageous blockades, such as on January 18, 2025, this also includes offensive actions such as those that Maja and many other friends in the Budapest complex are currently being accused of.

Many of our friends experienced police violence for the first time on January 18, 2025 or witnessed it first-hand. We all experience a chancellor who talks about a so-called "cityscape", a police force that ensures that fascists, here in Aachen and everywhere, are allowed to walk a protected demo route and a system that continuously makes our queer and non-white friends invisible. These are symptoms of the coming fascism. Only if we defend our freedoms and those of our friends here, in the supposedly safe "West", and continue to fight with our queer, non-white friends for recognition and participation, can we seriously stand up for internationalist and just values. Because all of these are authoritarian and racist escalations that do not aim to make our lives better, but to ensure that the few who still benefit from these developments continue to do so. The plug must be pulled on this. The world is on fire. In many countries, such as Peru, young people in particular are protesting on the streets against their lack of prospects, wars and conditions that are not worth living in. We, here in the center of capitalism, the center of all this power, must become active. We have to counter this division, agitation and isolation with our solidarity and collective perspectives for a future that is worth living, safe and emancipatory. Because of all this and much more, we call on you to take to the streets with us on 18.01.2026.

All together against fascism
